Manifest season 3 will come with a lot of mysteries once it premieres on NBC. Michaela Stone (Melissa Roxburgh) and Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) will continue to investigate the truth about the disappearance of Flight 828. Now, a new character is coming and she could further complicate the situation.

In a new report from DeadlineManifest season 3 will introduce a new mysterious character, named Angelina. The character is played by The Americans alumna Holly Taylor, who is set to be a series regular moving forward in the latest installment.

Angelina was one of the passengers on Flight 828. It remains to be seen what would be her role in the lives of the Stone siblings, and what's her connection to everyone -- aside from being on the same flight. But, her emergence will be an integral part of the story as it progresses.

It's interesting to see what other mysteries will unfold upon her arrival. One of the unique things about the series is that doesn't immediately show all their cards. Even if there are details about Angelina, there could be a huge surprise about her later on in the new season.

As for what else is coming, series creator and executive producer Jeff Rake teased what viewers can expect in Manifest season 3. In a previous video posted on Twitter, he discussed the things to look forward and debunked some theories, as well.

Rake revealed that the new season will return a few months after the events that happened in the season 2 finale. Jared (J.R. Ramirez) will have a new love interest, while Michaela and Zeke (Matt Long) will be looking for a new place.

The biggest mystery in Manifest season 3 is that one of the parts of the plane was found in the ocean. It raises a question about the existence of the passengers, considering that the plane landed during the pilot of the series. Also, Michaela and Ben need to figure out how to beat their death dates.

Then, Rake debunked some theories floating around the internet, including the strong physical resemblance between Michaela and The Major (Elizabeth Marvel). He made it clear that The Major is not Michaela from the future. The theory is unlikely even though time-traveling is possible in the series.

Meanwhile, just like other shows out there, the NBC series wasn't able to kick off production immediately due to the current global health crisis. There are still uncertainties as to when it could officially arrive. But, Manifest season 3 is slated to premiere at some point in 2021.
