BLACKPINK's Rose is all set for her solo debut. The BLACKPINK member recently shared some behind the scenes clip from her recording session.

According to a report by Koreaboo, Rose was able to provide a glimpse into her preparations through BLACKPINK's documentary Light Up the Sky. Part of the documentary was a segment where Rose was recording a pop song with producer Joe "Vince" Rhee.

In her interview, Rose said that even though she has always been afraid of getting into the studio and writing something, she worked hard to overcome her fears because of her passion for music. She said she did not want to be just a girl who songs and tells everyone she writes songs. Rose said that throughout the process, she questioned herself often, especially in doing things alone.

Still, she felt compelled to express herself through her songs instead of singing other people's music. Producer Teddy Park praised Rose for her dedication. He said that Rose is someone who has a lot of stories in her mind. However, at times, she feels embarrassed to share these personal stories through her music. He said that it is because she treats these stories as part of her diary.

Rose earned the fans' admiration after learning about the effort that went into preparing for her long awaited solo debut.

It can be recalled that it took years before the rest of the BLACKPINK members were finally allowed to focus on their solo music. Jennie was the only member to make a solo debut through her track SOLO in 2018. In September 2019, Rose confirmed that she was also working on her solo music, to the delight of BLINKs all around the world.

Last June, YG confirmed that Rose's solo debut will happen after BLACKPINK's final comeback. The label stated that BLACKPINK members agreed to complete their three-part group comeback before they promoted their projects, Stylecaster reported.

YG confirmed that Rose will be the first to release her solo music since she has already completed the recording. Lisa will be the next to work on her solo track while Jisoo will put on hold her solo music and focus on her first drama.

Jisoo was recently cast in the lead role of Snowdrop, a project helmed by the Sky Castle tandem of Yoo Hyun Mi and director Jo Hyun Tak. She will star opposite Jung Hae In and Kim Hye Yoon for her first major drama, Elle reported.
