The official Sailor Moon website dropped major details about the upcoming two-part Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie. Aside from a new trailer, it also revealed the actress who would play as the main villain, Queen Nehellenia, the Dead Moon leader.

Japanese Nanao will play as the big bad in the Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie, which was initially set to be out on September 11. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was moved to a different date.

The website also gave a glimpse of the upcoming films by dropping a new trailer, poster visual and official cast members. There would be new faces coming, like Shouta Aoi as Fish Eye, Satoshi Hino as Tiger's Eye, and Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hawk's Eye, per Anime News Network.

For the Amazoness Quartet, Yuko Hara will join the movie as JunJun, Reina Ueda as CereCere, Sumire Morohoshi as PallaPalla, and Rie Takahashi as Vesves. Also, Naomi Watanabe will be part of the films as Zirconia.

Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie will be the first Sailor Moon movie that will hit Japan theaters after 25 years. So, fans can expect the original cast and crew to return.

Of course, the original manga creator, Naoko Takeuchi, gets the credit for his work and supervises the movies. Chiaki Kon also returns to direct the two films after helming Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III.

Original Sailor Moon anime designer, Kazuko Tadano, is back to the do the new movies' character design, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu writes the scripts. Lastly, Toei will distribute the films, while Studio DEEN is the co-producer in collaboration with Toei Animation.

Momoiro Clover Z will perform Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie's official soundtrack, "Tsukiiro Chainon (Moonlight Chainon), along with the main cast. Other stars who will be part of the movies are Kotono Mitsuishi as Sailor Moon herself, Hisako Kanemoto as Sailor Mercury, and Rina Satou as Sailor Mars.

Of course, Ami Koshimizu will be there as Sailor Jupiter, along with Shizuka Itou as Sailor Venus and Misato Fukuen as Sailor Chibi Moon. Lastly, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will play the role of Pegasus/Helios.

According to The Mary Sue, Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie will feature the Dead Moon Arc. Here, Queen Nehelenia will be the dark mirror image of Queen Serenity, the mother of Princess Serenity or Sailor Moon.

Nehelenia revealed herself as the Queen of the Dark Center of the Moon when Princess Serenity was born. So, Queen Serenity sealed Nehelenia inside the dark mirror after she tried to steal power.

Nehelenia then cursed the Moon Kingdom to fall and Princess Serenity to never inherit the throne. After several centuries, Nehelinia is awake again, gathers her people, and plans to take over the world. The first Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie is set to be out on January 8, 2021, while the second one is on February 11, 2021.
