Riot Games achieved unprecedented success with gamers' hot reception of the "League of Legends: Wild Rift" closed beta. The gaming studio is now set to roll the game's open beta a few days from now. The game developer recently shared the latest update about the upcoming mobile game, including mentions of the beta availability in North America and Europe and more champions' arrival.

The latest update on "League of Legends: Wild Rift" came directly from the Riot Games' head honcho Michael "Riot Paladin" Chow, who is also the executive producer of the mobile version of the hit MOBA title. In a video, the executive noted that the timeline is still subject to change, but Riot Games would definitely provide details whenever necessary. The open beta is releasing to the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and Singapore on October 27.

While it is not yet the full launch of "League Of Legends: Wild Rift," anyone residing in those areas could download and play the much-awaited mobile title ahead of everyone else. It also means that there is no more invite system, no more alpha and closed beta loops to go through.

The latest dev update for "League of Legends: Wild Rift" also provided a timeline for the planned launch of the game's beta build on new locations. This includes a December 2020 launch in all of Europe, Taiwan, Vietnam and Oceania. Unfortunately, players in the U.S. have to wait a little longer before they could get their hands on the mobile game. Riot Games intends to release the "League of Legends: Wild Rift" beta in the Americas in the Spring of next year.

Aside from those, the latest "League of Legends: Wild Rift" dev update also said that the popular champion Lee Sin would launch in the game on October 23. Along with Lee Sin are six other champions who would be free for a limited time. These are Evelynn, Kai'Sa, Akali, Seraphine, Darius and Draven.

The list of "League of Legends: Wild Rift" champions is expanding with the closed beta starting with only 40 champions. The open beta is about to start in a few days and apart from the three champions featured in the game, players will get six new more. The base MOBA game has more than 150 champions in its line up and it is highly likely that Riot Games will introduce each champion in "League of Legends: Wild Rift" moving forward.
