Jungkook is not very active on social media. In fact, fans have been counting the days since the last time he updated on BTS’s official accounts.

That said, you can only imagine how excited ARMYs were when Jungkook went live on YouTube on Oct. 21. The BTS singer decided to host a live stream to talk about a lot of things to the fans, especially about their upcoming album “BE.” The video already garnered over six million in less than 24 hours after its release.

Jungkook first drove ARMYs into a frenzy when he began the live stream wearing a man bun. The BTS star appeared to be embarrassed by his hairstyle and decided to let his locks down before properly starting his live broadcast.

At one point, an ARMY’s comment caught Jungkook’s attention. The first reason why he instantly noticed it is because he believed that the fan used a translation app. “It sounds like you used a translation app,” the “My Time” singer said while giggling. “A huge text popped up, so I checked to see what it was, and it says, ‘Your body art is very beautiful.’ Thank you. Whatever you say, thank you.”

Jungkook acknowledging the tattoo comment may not be a big deal to some, but it is to ARMYs. The fandom knows that the Golden Maknae has not talked about his ink before as tattoos are not openly accepted in South Korea.

With Jungkook being a member of BTS, which is the biggest boy band on the planet right now, his clean image is very important. While tattoos are not illegal in South Korea, they are quite controversial, which is why Big Hit Entertainment staff, most of the time, covered the 23-year-old singer and songwriter’s tattoos to avoid backlash from critics.

Despite the attempt of hiding his ink, fans have seen Jungkook’s tattoos multiple times. In fact, eagle-eyed ARMYs spotted that the BTS star added more tattoos on his arm in a previous live broadcast.

Last month, BANGTANTV uploaded a video of BTS watching the B-Side version of “Dynamite.” Even though Jungkook was wearing a black blazer, ARMYs still managed to see that he added a new tattoo to his growing collection. (Check out the photo here).

Jungkook also flaunted his tattoos in a sneak peek that came from BTS’s preview of their Japan Official Fanmeeting Vol.5. In footage from 2019, the Golden Maknae can be seen wearing a short-sleeved shirt that revealed his tattooed hand and forearm.
