The Blacklist season 8 is officially premiering next month on NBC. The previous installment was cut short due to the current global health crisis and the remaining episodes there will be incorporated in the next chapter. Fans should be prepared as a lot of big surprises are seemingly coming ahead.

Only a few details were known about the upcoming The Blacklist season 8. But, recently, series star Amir Arison, who plays Aram, teased on Twitter that they're barely into filming and "major stuff" happens. The actor hinted that we can expect big moments in the early run of the latest installment.

One of the biggest questions entering the new season is whether or not we're going to learn more about Raymond "Red" Reddington's (James Spader) true identity. This is something that's been hanging in the series for a while now. It looks like we'll get some answers before the series officially concludes.

The poster of The Blacklist season 8 was released recently, as well. The image is similar to what we've seen in the past already, featuring Red and Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone). What's intriguing here is that it comes with a tagline, "No more secrets. No more lies."

These words could be a reference to Liz uncovering Red's biggest secrets, particularly his real identity. Also, Boone's character teamed up with Katarina Rostova (Laila Robins), with the season 7 finale teased she seemingly joined forces with her.

There is no official confirmation whether or not The Blacklist season 8 serves as the final installment of the series. Yet, there is a possibility that a few more seasons are coming in the future. After all, there are still a lot of loose threads that needed to be tied.

Meanwhile, the new season is being filmed in an unusual environment due to the current global health crisis. The cast and crew need to follow certain health guidelines and regulations to keep their safety. There could be a few changes and the latest installment could have a smaller order than the preceding ones.

As for the trailer, nothing has been released as of this writing. Since the series is in the middle of production, we could expect the promo arriving in either late October or early November. This will, also, allow the post-production to have more time working and preparing for the premiere.

The Blacklist season 8 starts dropping its new episodes starting on Friday, Nov. 13, on NBC.
