Lucifer season 6 is in production at the moment in Los Angeles. The upcoming installment serves as the final outing for the series. Only a few details were known about it, given that the second half of season 5 wasn't released as of yet.
But, when it comes to casting news, some new faces will show up in Lucifer season 6. For instance, Elizabeth Grullon joins the rest of the cast in the series' final run. Not much is known about her character, but she could be a new villain for Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis).
In one of her recent Instagram posts, Grullon shared a photo of her on set while sitting on a chair with a "Lucifer" tag on it. Per IMDb, the actress is set to portray the character of Erika. There are a lot of questions as to what role she's going to play in the series.
But, her caption seemingly suggests that she's the latest foe in Lucifer season 6. Grullon wrote: "Lucifer, son of the morning, I'm gonna chase you out of Earth... (that's a wrap on Eli!)" Erika could be a new demon whom the titular character has to take on at some point.
Shortly after Grullon's post, some fans took to Reddit to share their opinion about her character. One fan suggested she could be Gaia, the soul of the Earth. Another one noted that Erika could be like Gabriel since this isn't the first time it will be played by a woman.
Some fans think that she looks like an angel, albeit her strange caption. Still, many believe she is one of the latest antagonists, given that Grullon teased Erika will chase Ellis' character out of Earth. Also, the actress wrapped up her filming, which means she could only appear in one episode.
Meanwhile, the cast and crew are in the middle of filming Lucifer season 6. Everything feels completely different now because of the current health crisis. Based on some recent teases, everyone is doing their best to comply with the health guidelines and measures.
While there's a lot of post-production work left for the final installment, filming is, reportedly, coming to a close. Dan Espinoza star Kevin Alejandro is directing the premiere episode. He also directed the final episode in the first half of season 5, titled "Spoiler Alert."
As for the episode count of the series finale, TVLine reported that there will only be a total of 10 episodes for the final outing. This is the smallest total count throughout the show's run. For now, fans have to wait and see how the series will wrap up its entire story.
Lucifer season 6 is slated to premiere in 2021 on Netflix.
