Piers Morgan remains a critic toward Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's actions following their exit from the British Royal Family. For years, the Good Morning Britain host has launched scathing attacks toward the Sussex couple, particularly toward their actions as members of the royal fold.

Following his continued criticisms, he seemingly received accusations of "obsession" toward the former actress. He, however, argued that he is not obsessed with the Duchess of Sussex, according to the Daily Express.

Speaking to the publication, he explained his side as to why he continues to launch his attacks toward the former working royals. He said that he comments on their actions "a lot" because he is a columnist, adding that the Sussex couple is a "big news story."

Piers Morgan continued that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have seemingly made themselves big news stories, alongside Donald Trump, COVID-19, and Brexit. Given that he is a journalist, who appears on television every morning, he claims that he "obviously" has comments about them.

The TV personality added that he knows the Duchess of Sussex. Hence, his "previous friendship" with her gives him an insight into her character and personality.

In the accusation of obsession, he noted that he does not understand it, as well as the judgments that it entails. He, then, emphasized that his criticisms toward the couple, especially the former actress, are all "genuinely valid."

Piers Morgan extended his criticisms toward Meghan Markle in his new book, Wake Up. In a separate report from the Daily Express, he discussed his latest objections toward the Sussex couple, wherein he referred to them as "self-obsessed." Aside from this, he, also, deemed the former actress as a "privileged princess."

The GMB host made his remarks in line with the Duke and Duchess's interview last year with ITV's Tom Bradby for the documentary, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey. The publication said that this was when the Duchess told the host about how no one asked her if she is okay.

Piers Morgan stated that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just spent a week in Africa, with "some of the poorest" and most abused people in the world. Yet, they still managed to make the interview all about them, especially the Duchess, who claimed that no one asks her if she is okay.

The host deemed the whole scenario inappropriate and unacceptable. He noted that the former actress should get "some perspective," adding how "privileged" it is of her to speak that way.
