Tesla confirmed that the Made-In-China Model 3 passed all requirements and certifications necessary to export vehicles to Europe and will begin shipping made in China electric vehicles to the region starting with 7,000 MIC Model 3s.

The details about the milestone achieved by the Gigafactory 3 and Tesla was shared by the electric vehicle maker on its Weibo account and reported by Wccftech. Tesla reportedly held a ceremony in China to celebrate another victory. The said event was graced by key Tesla executives and members of the Shanghai city administration and Nanhui (Lingang) area of the city's Free Trade Zone.

On Monday, the state-backed new outfit, The Paper reported that around 7,000 Tesla Model 3 made at the Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai are scheduled to arrive in Belgium at the end of November. The electric vehicle maker is reportedly planning to deliver Made-In-China Model 3 to other countries. This includes France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland.

During the ceremony, the Shanghai Executive Deputy Mayor revealed that the Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai currently produces between 3,500 and 4,000 vehicles per week. The U.S. electric vehicle maker was able to set up and increase its vehicle production in the region within a year. CNBC reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared at the company's 2020 investor presentation that it has produced 143,036 in the third quarter of this year alone. The company has the capacity to produce 250,000 Model 3 annually in its Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai.

Deliveries of tesla Made-In-China Model 3 in Europe is most likely temporary and would only continue until Tesla opens the Gigafactory 4in Brandenberg, Berlin. The facility is currently being constructed and is expected to be operational in 2021. Tesla is also working on equipping the production plant in Fremont, California, which is the future production hub for the Tesla Model Y.

Industry experts acknowledged that Tesla is dominating the electric vehicle industry in China. Bloomberg earlier reported that while the EV industry in the region is on a decline, Tesla's share in the market is continuously growing. The U.S. electric vehicle maker is also said to be setting its sights on the Indian market.

In other Tesla news, the Chinese government ordered Tesla to recall almost 50,000 U.S.-made Model S and Model X electric vehicles sold to customers in China. The recall is due to the alleged defective and potentially unsafe front and rear suspensions.
