BTS led the pack of Kpop acts nominated for the 2020 American Music Awards. SM Entertainment's NCT 127 and EXO also received nods from the prestigious music awards show.

According to a report by All Kpop, BTS was nominated for two categories including Favorite Duo or Group and Favorite Social Artist. It can be recalled that RM, J-Hope, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook won for both categories last year. They also won for Best Tour in 2019.

This is the third year in the row that BTS received nominations to the American Music Awards. In 2018, they took home the prize for Favorite Social Artist.

Meanwhile, NCT 127 and EXO received their first nominations to the AMA this year. Both groups will be pitted against BTS in the Favorite Social Artist category. It is expected that it will be a tough battle of the fandoms as BTS ARMYs, EXO's EXO-Ls, and NCT 127's NCTzens clash on the fan voting site, Soompi reported.

BTS, NCT 127, and EXO were nominated based on their album and digital music sales, radio airplay, streaming performance, social media popularity, and tours. The final winner will be announced on November 22 when the AMA airs on the ABC network.

Meanwhile, BTS continues to dominate the Billboard Global 200 chart with "Dynamite" even over two months after it was released. The retro-themed summer track also retained the top position on the Digitial Song Sales chart for the ninth week in a row.

After topping Billboard Hot 100 and setting a record for being the first Kpop act to reach the top of the popular chart, BTS maintained a strong position on the chart and stayed well within the Top 10 with "Dynamite."

In related news, BTS recently received their second silver certification in the U.K. for their track "Dynamite." Songs that sell over 200,000 units are given silver certification by the British Phonographic Industry. It can be recalled that BTS first achieved this feat with "Boy with Luv."

Meanwhile, NCT recently released their full album as a complete group, including members of NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U, and WayV. Two new members were also added to the 21 member roster, expanding the group to a total of 23 members.

The first full album NCT 2020: Resonance Pt. 1 reached No. 1 on iTunes in 32 countries while NCT 2020: Resonance Pt. 2 is expected to be released next month, Soompi reported.
