Kate Middleton treated her two older kids, seven-year-old Prince George and five-year-old Princess Charlotte, to a special trip at one of the favorite tourist spots of their father, Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge and her two children visited the Imperial War Museum in London near the river Thames.

The site is where tourists may learn the history of the British Armed Forces and the challenges faced by servicemen since World War I and the present day. Kate Middleton likely made the trip more personal for her kids since there are war heroes in her family.

According to People, Kate's great-grandmother had three brothers that fought and died during World War I.  The duchess apparently has a collection of her family's documents, including the letter of condolences, which are now safely secured at Buckingham Palace's Keeper of the Privy Purse.

Prince William, on the other hand, is one of the patrons of the Imperial War Museum. As a former serviceman himself, the establishment is said to be close to the heart of the Duke of Cambridge.

In the past, Kate and Prince William bring their children to the Natural History Museum because they love to see the animals. Kate, however, likely brought her kids to this new site because George has been showing signs of interest in the history of the British military.

In May, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed during a video conference call with some care home veterans that her son, the third in line to the British throne, is starting to learn about World War II. Over the summer, George and Charlotte had to learn the song, We'll Meet Again, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day. The special song from Dame Vera Lynn became a war anthem for the British people.

Meanwhile, George and Charlotte are currently on their half-term break from school at Thomas's Battersea. On Monday, the Cambridge siblings, along with their youngest brother, Prince Louis, baked some cupcakes and donated this to the Royal British Legion's care home residence for their annual fundraiser, Poppy Appeal.

Royal fans could not help but commend the Cambridge children. One royal watcher on social media said that Mary Berry, the celebrity chef and food critic, would be very proud of Louis' baking skills. The youngest son of Kate Middleton and Prince William is apparently a huge fan of Berry.
