Prince Charles, the future King of England, apparently has a reputation for being fussy with his clothes and his daily routines in the bathroom. The Prince of Wales needs things done a certain way and will scold members of the royal staff when they mess things up.

Paul Burrell, who served as a former royal butler and was a confidante of Princess Diana, revealed in the documentary, Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm, that Prince Charles demanded his bathroom be ready in a certain way. The royal needs his grooming items, toiletries and even his underwear set in a specific order.

His toothpaste has to be squeezed with just the right amount, while his pajama and bedroom slippers should have the right crease marks in place. The bathtub should be ready with the right amount of water and its temperature must be only slightly lukewarm.

Apparently, if one of his personal items is out of place, everyone in the royal staff gets a scolding. Burrell said that Prince Charles is so used to a lifetime of privileges hence he can make such demands. In his younger life, the heir to the British throne had been nicknamed the "Pampered Prince" and his wrath towards the staff is quite legendary among the royal staff.

The Prince of Wales, however, may be taking after his mother, the Queen, who also has a specific bath time ritual. Her Majesty also demands that her bath water is at the right temperature and the tub should be filled with only up to seven inches of water.

According to royal correspondent Brian Hoey, someone from the Queen's staff has the responsibility of testing the bath water's depth and temperature. The Queen takes her daily bath at exactly the same time in the morning.

Meanwhile, former royal chef Darren McGrady also spilled in the same documentary about Prince Charles' fussy demands when it came to food. Apparently, when he stays at the Queen's house, for instance in Balmoral for the summer, he brings his own bottled plums that are harvested from his farm in Highgrove.

McGrady said that his specific task is to put two plums with some juice in a bowl to serve to Prince Charles every breakfast. However, the Prince of Wales would eat just one piece so the chef thought he'd change this system and just give one every morning. That was a mistake because Prince Charles told the staff to get back to the chef and ask for two plums. From then on, McGrady never changed what the royal wanted.

Another royal chef, Graham Newbould, said that Prince Charles brings dried fruit, mueslis and six different types of honey when he's traveling because that's what he'll eat for breakfast.
