Bundesliga sensation Erling Haaland is deemed to take the larger stage in European football soon and the Norwegian is predicted to make his way to the Premier League eventually. However, the 20-year-old goalscorer is said to sign with Liverpool and not Manchester United.

Haaland made the switch to Borussia Dortmund in January 2020 and he continued to display the prolific scoring first seen with Red Bull Salzburg. His ability to find the net attracted the attention of United but the star opted to join up with BVB.

But football executives are convinced the Dortmund ace will soon be part of the Premier League. According to Christoph Freund, Salzburg's sporting director, Haaland is not staying too long in Bundesliga and will soon make a deal with an English side.

While United failed to secure the signature of the young striker in January, Mirror said the club remains an option for Haaland. That's because of his connection with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the two Norwegians together at Old Trafford seemed a plausible scenario.

Freund, however, is seeing the emerging superstar picking Liverpool over the Red Devils. The Salzburg executive sees Haaland's choice as a personal decision.

Haaland so far has scored 24 goals with Dortmund in all competition and the big clubs in Europe are likely keeping tabs on the Bundesliga marksman. But the next stop for the youngster is Anfield and Freund said he expects the BVB forward to further explode over the next 10 years.

The executive made clear Haaland is already with one of the best clubs in Europe but stepping up will be the natural progression for the star. Either he joins a La Liga side soon or signs up with one of the giants in the Premier League.

Joining up with Bayern Munich is already out of the question as Haaland will need to fight for the spot already reserved for Robert Lewandowski over the next few years. So the best choice in the table has to be Jurgen Klopp's side.

"That's where he will land ... He can play for any club in the world. With his mentality, his will, with his self-confidence he can make a mark on European football in the next ten years," Freund said, and per the report by Goal.

Haaland was widely tipped last season to wear the Red Devils shirt because of his story with Solskjaer, whom the young man credits for improving his football skills while in Norway. But the Dortmund star had expressed reservation that his former coach will have a long stay with United so he went to Borussia instead.

Solskjaer again is the subject of possible sacking by United amid the club's poor form at the start of the season and with only two Premier League wins. And if indeed the Norwegian loses his job, then Haaland has the reason to skip Old Trafford and play with the Reds instead.
