Apple announces its holding of an event dubbed 'One More Thing' set for November 10 where many say the company will use to launch its own silicon chip processors.

Apple recently announced its special event called 'One More Thing' scheduled for November 10 with rumors indicating that the company will launch new Macs powered by Apple's own silicon processors. The launch of Apple Silicon chips will also mark the departure of the Macs from Intel, the company's partner for more than 15 years.

Since 2006, the Cupertino-based tech giant used Intel chips when it ditched PowerPC processors for its Mac computers. After more than a decade, rumors about Apple developing its own processor started circulating and reached a fever pitch in 2019 when it was whispered that new Macs due for release in 2020 come with Apple's version of an Advanced RISC Machine (ARM) processor. During Apple's 'Hi, Speed' event last October 13, rumors started flying around that the company is likely to hold another event which may involve the launch of the first Apple Silicon Chip-powered Macs. With Apple's announcement of the 'One More Thing' event set for November 10, the rumors may be true after all.

The November 10 'One More Thing' event will include the unveiling of the 16-Inch MacBook Pro, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 13-inch MacBook Air, which reportedly are all powered by Apple Silicon Chips. The information on which Mac models that Apple fans should expect to see during the event came from Bloomberg, which listed its sources as "people familiar with the matter." Apple did not comment on the information, including those that say the company already ditched Intel processors in favor of its own, in-house developed Apple Silicon processors.

Rumors also indicate that apart from Apple's transition from Intel to its own homegrown Apple Silicon chips, the new Macs will not showcase any substantial design changes, with the Cupertino tech company continuing to use the same form factor in its new MacBooks, which it will release during the 'One More Thing' event on November 10. There are, however, whispered talks floating around that Apple is also working on restyled versions of the MacBook Pro which reportedly come in 14.1-inch and 16.1-inch sizes, as well as mini-LED displays. These machines, though, may not be ready until next year.

The new Macs that are set for unveiling this coming November 10 during Apple's 'One More Thing' event will showcase 5-nanometer chips based on the iPhone 12's A14 chips. Most Apple observers say that this can bring about a lot of performance improvements and power efficiency to the new Macs. Many also say that Apple plans to shift the whole Mac lineup to the new Apple Silicon chip, though the process may take approximately two years.

Apple's 'One More Thing' event set for November 10 will kick off around 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, where company officials will unveil the new Apple Silicon chip-powered Macs. Like its two other previous events this year, Apple will stream the event live where people around the world can attend by going to official Apple channels.
