The Walking Dead season 10 aired its finale in early October, but additional six episodes were ordered and slated to arrive in 2021. Within these episodes, we're going to see new faces and it seems like one familiar person from Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) past will show up.

In a recent Twitter post, Morgan's wife in real life, Hilarie Burton Morgan, confirmed that she's set to appear in one of the bonus episodes of The Walking Dead season 10. The actress is joining her husband and will be playing the role of Lucille, Negan's late wife.

No further details were revealed as to which episode she'll show or what story she could bring to the table. But, it may focus on Negan's origin story, considering their relationship. The setting could take place in flashbacks or dream sequences, as well.

In addition, this is an opportunity to learn more about Lucille. Not much is known about her during the pre-apocalypse aside from being married to Negan. The two lived in Virginia, but she suffered from pancreatic cancer shortly before the outbreak.

Lucille greatly influenced who her husband was today. She became one of Negan's weaknesses after she died. In fact, he dedicated his signature weapon -- a wooden baseball bat coated with barbed wire -- after his wife. It's interesting to see how her presence could shake up the story moving forward.

Meanwhile, some details about the bonus episodes of The Walking Dead season 10 have been revealed. Episode 17 is titled "Home Sweet Home," and it will see the reunion between Negan and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Since these two weren't on good terms we could expect rising tensions.

Apparently, Maggie was gone for a long time so that she could get away from Negan, who killed her husband, Glenn (Steven Yeun). Considering everything she's been through, it only made sense for her not to be near him.

While Negan is responsible for Alpha's (Samantha Morton) death, that doesn't necessarily mean he's already redeemed. Maggie is, clearly, not happy with the idea that he is part of the group now. A lot of disagreement could take over in place as the story progresses.

Meanwhile, The Walking Dead season 10 bonus episodes are expected to be released in early 2021. These episodes were filmed under heavy restrictions due to the pandemic. That means we're going to see more personal stories than big battles against the Whisperers.

We will update fans when more details are available about The Walking Dead season 10.
