Success remained with Cristiano Ronaldo when made the switch from Real Madrid to Juventus in 2018. The Portuguese superstar powered the Turin club to two Serie A titles and his 70 goals in the last two seasons at 35 serve as proof of his incredible form. But the striker is not expected to play his last games in Italy.

Ronaldo's deal with the Old Lady is expiring in 2022 and he is likely to move away. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner plans to play five more years in Europe but it is believed that the last three years will not be with Juventus.

The Sun reported that Ronaldo will see out his contract with the Italian giants but there is little chance he will agree to an extension. The star is seen to move away but his intention is clear - he still wants to play competitive football and win titles and honors but not as a Juve player.

That's because Ronaldo is lacking "a romantic relationship," with the Italians, said the report, citing the information published by TuttoSport. The claim suggested that with no strong attachment with Juventus, it would be easy for Ronaldo to leave and look for a new challenge elsewhere.

His most likely destination is another European club and there were speculations that CR7 could find his way back to Real or Manchester United. However, the possibility is greater that Ronaldo will join up with Paris Saint-Germain as the French side is rumored to see the departure of their key players in 2022.

PSG could lose Neymar to Barcelona on that year and the same goes for Kylian Mbappe, who has been linked with a possible switch to either Real Madrid or Liverpool. Should those scenarios play out, then the door will open wide for Ronaldo to wear the PSG shirt two years from now.

The star has been saying that extending his stay on the pitch a few more years is not a problem. He declared that at 40, his body can still play at the top level.

"Physically it will never be a problem. I am treating myself well and I think can play safely up to 40 years," said the Juventus star, and per the same report.

Meanwhile, former Juventus defender Pasquale Bruno said he wouldn't be shocked by Ronaldo eventually leaving Italy soon. The star, anyway, had opted not to make the adjustments that would have made his stay in the country more comfortable, according to Bruno.

"He has been in Italy for two years and has not yet learned to speak our language ... He uses Spanish to express himself. He has no respect for his team-mates or for the Italians," Mirror reported the ex-Juve star as saying.

Bruno lamented that Ronaldo remains largely "ignorant" of Italy despite his more than two years of stay with Juventus.
