It has been four years since Boruto started after the success of Naruto. Ukyou Kodachi helms the next generation of manga series, but he now steps back and let Masashi Kishimoto take over his writing duties. Now, fans have something to say about the abrupt change.

Boruto is now preparing to feature one of the manga's best arcs, but there will be a sudden change. Will this affect the manga's story?

Originally, Kishimoto is one of the original writers of Boruto, along with Kodachi when the manga series began. However, according to Comicbook, he left the job to Kodachi alone as he started writing a new manga series, Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru.

After the low sales, Kishimoto's Samurai 8 got canceled, giving him more time to work on Boruto. Now, although fans know Kishimoto is very familiar with Naruto characters, their main concern is if Boruto will be fine under a new writer.

Kodachi gets praises for his innovative writing style, although some fans complain about how he handles the story of the legacy heroes, like Naruto and Sasuke. As he is about to kill these two in the upcoming chapters of Boruto, will it still happen under Kishimoto's supervision?

The Nerd Stash noted Naruto and Sasuke's power abilities were god-like in Naruto, while it was quite different in Boruto. To give way to the new characters in the sequel, their abilities seem to have downplayed.

Anyhow, some critics say Boruto is more superior to the anime adaptation. Fans are complaining about how the anime is handled, saying it lacks character development and Boruto's general traits.

Although fans have a lot of questions regarding Boruto and the rest of the gang's future, they say they will find comfort knowing the Team 7 will be okay. All fans have to do today is wait and see how Kishimoto will handle the continuation of Boruto's story.

Will he follow Kodachi's lead or do his own take? Rumors have it that Kishimoto's return has been planned.

The decision was said to be long decided, per Spoiler Guy. If it is, then he may have already something in mind on how to write Boruto. Kishimoto will start writing Boruto Chapter 52, which will be published in Shueisha's V Jump issue and will be out on November 21.
