It has been more than two years since fans last saw Violet on the small screen. With the lengthy delay, is it still possible that Violet Evergarden Season 2 will come?
According to Devdiscourse, Violet Evergarden Season 2 has yet to receive a green light. The anime series is not yet renewed even after a couple of years following the first season's ending.
Fans are still patiently waiting for the production and announcement of the new season, although nothing is yet to come. However, rumors have it Kyoto Animation is currently working on a secret project, which some believed to be related to the much-awaited anime series' continuation.
If this is true, it may finally answer the questions the previous season left off. TeCake noted viewers are quite puzzled with the future of Gilbert, Violet's father.
He said something to Violet in the first season, but the reason about how he managed to suddenly disappear remained unknown. Some said Gilbert had already died, but with the appearance of a strange person, there were predictions it could be him.
How come he became Gilbert? Violet's reaction after seeing the guy said it all.
If this happens, then fans are about to see Gilbert's return in Violet Evergarden Season 2, although some said it could only be through flashbacks. Violet has been expecting a lot from her dad, like his survival.
However, it looked like it was Gilbert's real intention to leave Violet behind, alone on her journey, so that she could find ways to survive on her own.
Finally, Violet knew what she was capable of, learning that she could do things alone, even without her dad. Anyhow, if Gilbert managed to return in the second season, the story would focus on the two.
Meanwhile, Monsters & Critics noted Violet Evergarden Volume 4 could be the base of Violet Evergarden Season 2. Titled Violet Evergarden Ever After, it was a direct sequel to the main storyline.
With how the book ended, it seemed to be an after story of the main plot after showing what happened to the main characters after the world continuously changed around them. Anyhow, fans could still expect to see the return of the original cast, led by Yui Ishikawa as Violet, Minor Chihara as Erica, Kyle McCarley as Claudia, Daisuke Namikawa as Gilbert Boganwilia, Reba Buhar as Catalia, and Takua Inagaki as Bar.
Violet Evergarden Season 2's release is yet to announced, but fans are hoping it will come soon.
