Fans are close to finding out what the future holds for David Giuntoli's Eddie Saville as A Million Little Things season 3 is premiering this week on ABC. The character met a tragic accident in the season 2 finale, leaving viewers questioning whether he survives or not.

Eddie's current situation will be the major focus in the premiere of A Million Little Things season 3. He was hit by a car at the end of the second installment and previous teasers hinted he is not in a good situation. Now, there is a concern whether viewers will see more of him beyond the first episode.

Speaking to TV Insider, executive producer DJ Nash discussed this subject. He said that they couldn't imagine saying goodbye to Giuntoli since he's been part of the series since the beginning. He added that the premiere is all about whether or not Eddie will still be part of everyone's lives moving forward.

Even if Eddie won't survive, Nash seemingly hinted that the character could still appear in some form. He cited Ron Livingston's Jon Dixon who's still part of the series even after his death in season 1. Thus, there could be flashbacks and dream sequences to bring Giuntoli's character back in the story.

When asked how close do viewers find out what happened, Nash responded they'll learn everything hallway through the latest installment. He further said that the premiere picks up with Eddie's wife, Katherine Kim (Grace Park), on the phone call and someone answered the call on the other line.

It has been teased that Katherine and their son's, Theo (Tristan Byon), lives will never be the same in A Million Little Things season 3. If Eddie survives, it doesn't necessarily mean that everything goes back to normal immediately. There could be consequences because of what happened.

The accident could either open a new chapter in their lives or it could lead to some mental and emotional aftereffects. Whatever happens, the premiere will bring more stories down the road. Some secrets might be revealed that could change certain characters' lives moving forward.

In another report, A Million Little Things season 3 is introducing a new character. Chris Geere will be playing the role of Jamie, Maggie Bloom's (Allison Miller) new roommate at Oxford. The character is described as "opinionated and brash," but has a good sense of humor.

For now, it remains to be seen how he and Maggie will interact. But, considering the character's description, there's a possibility the two will not be friends right away. There could be clashes and disagreements before they'll eventually get to know each other.

A Million Little Things season 3 is coming this Thursday, Nov. 19, on ABC.
