A Million Little Things season 3 is currently in production. There are a lot of things to expect in the upcoming installment, especially after what happened in the season 2 finale. But, aside from that, a recurring character has been promoted as a series regular, as well.

In a new report from TVLine, it was confirmed that Supergirl alum Floriana Lima will be regularly appearing in A Million Little Things season 3. The actress plays the role of Darcy, who was first introduced in the series back in the second installment.

Darcy is the mother of Theo's (Tristan Byon) friend, Liam (Anthony Bolognese). She also formed a significant connection with Gary (James Roday Rodriguez). The two first met after while accompanying the boys' hang out.

Darcy and Gary didn't start on the right track. But, eventually, they developed attraction and began dating. In the season 2 finale, Gary's ex-girlfriend, Maggie (Allison Miller), confessed her love to him. However, he turned her down and chose to move forward with his new relationship with Darcy.

It remains to be seen where Darcy and Gary's relationship is heading in A Million Little Things season 3. In a recent interview with the aforementioned outlet, series creator DJ Nash has already foreshadowed the complicated love triangle between Gary, Maggie, and Darcy.

Nash teased that Gary's love life will be complicated for a "host of new reasons." But, aside from this storyline, there are a lot of ways on how to explore Lima's character now that she's a series regular. This is a chance to learn more about Darcy and what her life was before arriving in Boston.

In addition to her role as Maggie Sawyer on Supergirl, Lima's previous TV credits include Franklin & Bash and Psych, How I Met Your Mother, House, Hawaii Five-0, The Mob Doctor, Allegiance, The Family, Lethal Weapon, and The Punisher.

Meanwhile, as for what else is coming in A Million Little Things season 3, the series will pick up the huge cliffhanger left in season 2 finale. Eddie's (David Guintoli) future is in question after being hit by a car. We're going to find out whether or not he survives in the premiere.

Nash teased that the accident has caused a huge impact on his wife Katherine (Grace Park), and their son, Theo. The series creator hinted that their lives won't be the same anyomre -- even if Eddie survives his current situation.

A Million Little Things season 3 is set to premiere at some point in November on ABC.
