Like the original game, souls play a crucial role in the player's progression in "Demon's Souls" Remake. Aside from being an in-game currency, souls are essential in character level ascension. There are ideal spots where players could farm lots of souls to improve their weapons, stack items, and make several upgrades.

The best place to farm soul is at the start of "Demon's Souls" Remake, which is at the Shrine of Storms. The player must be equipped with a blunt weapon like a Mace or get the Falchion, which is located past the first skeletons. The player must defeat the Adjudicator to reach 4-2.

In fighting the boss, the "Demon's Souls" Remake player must have a bow and shoot arrows from the upper floor area near the fog door or stairs at the glowing bird. Just beyond the Archstone, the player will encounter special Reaper enemies. Shooting them with arrows will eventually kill them, and one of the Reapers will drop 4,000 souls.

The "Demon's Souls" Remake player could either go back to the Nexus to cash in the earned souls after killing the Reaper or respawn at the start of the area and go through the entire ordeal to get more souls. It is worth noting that the player must make sure that if he is killed, he returns to his body before being killed so as not to waste all the hard work.

Another spot to farm souls in "Demon's Souls" Remake is by facing the Red Eyed Knight guarding the mausoleum in 1-1. For newbies, the knight would most likely finish them with a few swift strikes. However, he is easy to defeat if they know how to handle him.

The "Demon's Souls" Remake player must grab a shield and maintain it up at all times. Most of the knight's attacks are outside of his shield strike and bounce straight off the shield. It is a good place to hone the player's backstabbing skills. Just lock on the knight and circle around his back when he seems to pause after his attack.

The player must swiftly lower his shield and press R1 to execute a high-damage backstab. This might be done for several times before the knight finally gets defeated. This spot will not only rewards 2,000 souls per run but will help the player master how to backstab.

"Demon's Souls" Remake is now available on PS5.
