BTS has already reached superstardom status, but they have remained humble. In fact, despite their worldwide success, the boys still get overwhelmed when they receive some acknowledgments. So when the Big Hit Entertainment boy group was officially nominated for the Grammys, they were over the moon!
And what do extremely excited artists do while watching the announcement of the 2021 list of Grammy nominees? They film themselves. On November 24, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook stayed up late, around two in the morning, to be exact, to film a reaction video.
The quartet, who were sitting on a couch together, looked really nervous at the beginning of the clip as they waited for the category that they might be nominated for. RM even held onto Jimin and Jungkook during the tensed moment. JM patted his hand, seemingly telling him that everything is going to be okay. And he was right!
When BTS was mentioned as one of the nominees, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook instantly screamed and stood up while V froze in his seat. Based on their genuine reaction, the boys didn’t expect the nomination at all.
While this was going on, Jin, Suga, and J-Hope were fast asleep. A few hours later, SG and JH took to Weverse to express their feelings about the nomination. The “Ego” rapper also posted a quick clip of him skipping on Twitter with the caption, “And I’m off to the Grammys.”
An ARMY found the whole thing hilarious, thinking that while Suga and J-Hope are now posting on social media, the four younger boys are probably asleep as they stayed up all night.
“It’s so funny and cute how yoongi and hobi are posting now that they are waking up while the 4 of maknae line are sleeping bc they stayed up all night,” they tweeted.
However, it is worth noting that one of the boys who stayed up until two in the morning also took to Weverse to post something. In fact, V even bragged about being a Grammy nominee. “Hello. I’m BTS Kim Taehyung who is nominated at Grammys,” he wrote.
Jin, on the other hand, still has to post anything regarding their Grammy nomination.
Meanwhile, artists with BTS’s caliber would have felt entitled to get a Grammy nomination, but RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook see it as a surprising accomplishment. There is actually a high chance that the boys would bag the win, but they are clearly just very happy to be nominated for now.
