Suga and Jimin have an average height for Asian men. Standing at 5’9” and 5’8”, respectively, the BTS boys can actually be considered tall in some countries. However, they are the shortest ones out of the bunch, so people see them as the group's tiny boys.
But Jimin recently shared an update regarding his health check-up and proudly flaunted his new height. The “Filter” singer took to Twitter to share a screenshot of his result, where it was stated that he grew 0.40cm this year.
“So I caught up to Yoongi hyung’s height. Next is J-Hope! Get ready!” he proudly said.
Suga recently surprised ARMYs by hosting a live broadcast on Vlive. It was previously announced that the “Daechwita” rapper would not be joining RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook to promote their new album “BE” due to his shoulder surgery, so ARMYs were very happy to see him.
While Suga was updating fans about his surgery and recovery, he was asked how he felt about Jimin’s height update. In a very Suga manner, he said that he was unbothered by it.
Suga explained that he doesn’t care much about his height. He even pointed out that he’s taller than the average Korean men in their 20s. “I’m not that tall. But I don’t care,” he said.
However, Suga admitted that he used to wish he was taller when he debuted. He recalled trying out various things, such as a pair of elevated shoes to appear taller than he really was. But the 27-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer eventually got over it and said that he has learned to accept his height and love himself.
As for Jimin’s results, a lot of ARMYs are convinced that his height growth had something to do with his neck. You see, before JM proudly showed off his results, J-Hope already told the fandom that some of the members turned into a giraffe when their heights were being measured.
While J-Hope didn’t mention any names, Jimin, who obviously didn’t read the “Ego” rapper’s earlier post, seemed to confirm he was one of the “giraffes.” In fact, ARMYs even recalled the moment when he looked distorted in Run BTS! Episode 92 while trying to stretch his arms out to prove that he has long limbs. Despite his effort, JM still ended up having the shortest arms out of all the members.
