Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki Season 3 now gets an official release date, so fans will once again see the cute cat-like features of Monaka on the small screen. In an official announcement, the title's website confirmed the series' return, along with a short trailer showing the fan-favorite characters.
The anime's official website revealed Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki Season 3 would be out on January 10, 2021. Fans can see the show on TV Aichi, BS11, and AT-X, and will also be streamed on Hikari TV and d Anime Store.
The third season will only have a single cour, although its number of episodes is yet to be revealed. It will continuously feature accurate representation of different Japanese prefectures, showing the country's diverse culture while focusing on Monaka's story, Epic Dope noted.
The announcement revealed the TV animation of the third season's production had already been decided. Its broadcast, release date, and time were finally known. The short trailer attached in the post gave a glimpse of the characters talking about the different prefectures and their unique abilities.
According to Anime News Network, Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki Season 3 will feature the same primary staff and cast that the first two seasons had. Anyhow, Taiki Yamazaki will perform the new season's theme song.
Maria Naganawa will be back as Serura Dobe, while Junji Majima will reprise his role as Masahide Tsuji. The other cast members will return, too, to continue portraying their known characters.
The anime's first season dropped in April 2019. It explored the story of Jin Kaito, who moved to Nagoya after growing up in Tokyo. Here, he met Yatogame Monaka, a fellow high school student who used Nagoya dialect on "full display," per Crunchyroll.
With her cat-like features and fluency, Yatogame was quite shy to open up to her. This show is increasingly gaining popularity, thanks to its clear depiction of the city of Nagoya through the adorable characters.
The second season, alternatively, was out on January 5 and dropped a total of 12 episodes. Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex shonen manga magazine serialized the original Yatogame-chan Kansatsu manga by Masaki Ando.
So, to give fans a special treat, Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Season 2 will once again air, starting on Sunday, December 13. It will be a good refresher for everyone to get ready for the Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Season 3's upcoming release.
