After years of waiting, fans finally get an update about Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence. Avex Pictures also dropped a new trailer of the much-awaited movie, showing Victor conquering the ice skating rink.
The Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence preview starts with a look at the young Victor. It seems to be the first time he enters an Olympic season at the tender age of 17.
He shows his incredible talent as he proudly dominates the rink. The 58-second clip shows his greatness as well as the credits of the people behind the upcoming film.
In a post on Twitter, the teaser is said to be exclusively released at the 2019 Yuri!!! on Ice TV series' theatrical screening. It also provided a link to the clip's YouTube channel.
According to Comicbook, the preview emphasizes one of Victor's best performances. It also comes with great music, perfectly teasing what is to come.
Fans can't help but get excited with the new promotional video, as it seems to tease the movie's coming. Despite being gone from the air for years and the lack of any updates, it remains one of the most-loved anime series with a cult following.
HITC noted it won some of the best awards in the anime world, like the Best Animation of the Year at the 2017 Tokyo Anime Award Festival. It also received some accolades from Crunchyroll's first Anime Awards, such as Most Heartwarming Scene, Best Animation, and Anime of the Year.
Yuri on Ice dominated the small screens when it premiered in 2016. After it ended with 12 episodes, the making of the movie Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence was announced.
Although there are only little details about the movie, its official Twitter page revealed its production is still ongoing. It, reportedly, aims to further "enrich the film."
The production committee revealed their team would continue to work diligently to complete the movie and share their "unwavering love and dedication for skating." They also apologized for the unfortunate circumstances and ask for everyone's great understanding.
Anyhow, as the movie is still in production, they also said they had yet to reach the stage where they could announce the release date. But, with Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence's theme, it may have a winter-2021 premiere. There is also a possibility that it will drop as soon as summer-2021.
