Former WANNA One member Lai Guanlin was involved in controversy again after video footage of him scolding a passerby was released by a fansite.
According to a report by Koreaboo, a fansite called Kuanlin MEM released the footage with the caption: "I guess it's become a habit for you to scold people." The site accused Guanlin of calling a passerby crazy.
Some fans tried to defend the idol on social media, saying that during the time that the scolding happened, Guanlin was sick and waiting for his car at the airport. He reportedly turned his back from fans because of his poor condition but some people still insisted on invading his privacy to take photos and videos. His agency has yet to comment on the latest controversy surrounding the Chinese Kpop artist.
This was not the first time that Lai Guanlin was exposed by the site. It can be recalled that Kuanlin MEM previously posted evidence of Lai Guanlin's bad behavior and secret relationship.
According to a previous report by Koreaboo, the fansite exposed Lai Guanlin as he was caught smoking and spitting on the street. The administrator for the account also posted pictures of his alleged girlfriend.
The fansite claimed that they found evidence of Lai Guanlin's relationship from the social media posts of his girlfriend. It also said that Guanlin stopped posting daily type updates because he did not want people to know his whereabouts. The site accused him of being afraid that fans would go to the locations to investigate who he was with.
Kuanlin MEM claimed that many of Guanlin's posts matched the posts of his girlfriend, which were made around the same time. The site said that because the girlfriend was fond of posting on Douyin, China's version of TikTok, she provided more evidence that the couple was together when the videos were uploaded. One of Douyin's features is changing locations in real-time.
Apart from Douyin posts, fans also spotted familiar images in the alleged girlfriend's posts such as Guanlin's favorite shoes. Kuanlin MEM further claimed that they discovered the former WANNA One member's secret social media account which he used to like the posts of his rumored girlfriend.
Lai Guanlin denied dating allegations but apologized for his rude behavior in the past.
