The British royal family will be facing a difficult decade ahead as Queen Elizabeth turns 95 years old. An anti-monarchist claimed that the Firm's popularity might dwindle upon Her Majesty's death because the remaining members of the royal family are "too dull."

Graham Smith, the CEO of the anti-monarchy group Republic, said that the top remaining royals -- such as Prince Charles, Princess William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton -- couldn't hold a candle to the Queen's popularity throughout her reign. Smith said that it wouldn't be long before the Queen withdraws from her royal duties more and more because of her advancing age and inevitable death.

The anti-royal believes that Charles will not get the same support as his mother because he lacks the warmth. Prince William, the second in line to the throne, and his wife, Kate, on the other hand, are "dull and uninspiring," Smith said.

While it might not seem obvious today, the popularity of Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, could help the royal family. Even Prince Andrew, who stepped down due to his controversial friendship with the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, has been one of the family's "stars" as well.

But royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams disagreed with Smith's analysis because the royal family are generally supported by the public. Fitzwilliams said that their charity work and global profile continue to be unmatched. The expert also said that other impressive members of the Firm could be symbolic for the British public because of the work they do, such as Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward, and Sophie.

Royal expert Brittani Barger also said that Prince Andrew's sex scandal ties would only boost Prince Charles plans when he takes over for his mother. Barger told The Sun that the Prince of Wales will be more determined to slim down the Firm to lessen their public funding expenses, which has been a major complaint among the British public.

Prince Charles has long prepared for this slimmed-down monarchy, thus negating the claims that they will face a difficult decade ahead. It comes as Prince Andrew has been reportedly vocal to his mother about not passing the crown to his older brother.

A source told New Idea that Prince Andrew does not think Prince Charles will be a good monarch. However, the Duke of York, who is currently the eighth in line to the throne, has almost a non-existent chance of returning to public service because of his Epstein scandal.
