Magnum P.I. season 3 is coming this week on CBS, with the premiere titled "Double Jeopardy." Fans will see Thomas Magnum (Jason Hernandez) and Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks) taking on a new case. The two have been working together for quite some time now, but some things might change moving forward.

In the recently-released sneak peek of Magnum P.I. season 3, the two pay a visit to Honolulu Police Department. They went there to convince Gordon Katsumoto (Tim Kang) that they need his assistance. However, it seems like the latter hesitates to help them.

Despite that, Magnum persuades him, saying it is part of his effort to "turn over a new leaf." The two need to run a name, but the new police firewall makes it difficult for Higgins to get more information. They're looking for a certain person but don't want to break the law -- such as hacking.

After a while, Katsumo agreed to help them even though he's still reluctant. One of the reasons why he allowed them to do what they want is because he knows he might get duped later on. If he doesn't help the two, they may opt to break the law to acquire the information they need.

The sneak peek is from the premiere of Magnum P.I. season 3. The two were hired by new clients, who are searching for their missing brother. However, this case leads them to turmoil, with Higgins getting shot and TC (Stephen Hill) being abducted.

In another 10-second teaser, the titular character can be seen talking about the unexpected events that come along with his job -- including a gunshot and then a plane crash. Both stories will be a huge part of the early run of the latest installment.

At the end of the clip, TC can be heard saying, "teamwork makes the dream work." Based on the case they're taking on, it's clear that Magnum P.I. season 3 didn't change so much despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. The actions are still there, albeit limited.

In addition to the case, the first few episodes of the new season will introduce Higgins' potential new love interest. The two met after Dr. Ethan Shah (Jay Ali) treated her injury. Their relationship will be further explored, and it's yet to be seen whether or not Magnum will be affected by this.

Magnum P.I. season 3 is premiering on Friday, Dec. 4, on CBS.
