BoJack Horseman (Will Arnett) took his final bow in the sixth season of the animated series in January. As some said it already had a proper ending, did it mean there would be no chance for BoJack Horseman Season 7?
According to Fox Exclusive, despite the ending, the series creator, Raphael Bob-Waksberg, could work with other networks or streaming services to do BoJack Horseman Season 7.
However, it remains to be seen if this will happen, or Netflix will once again give it the greenlit. So far, there is a slim chance that a new season will be in the works.
The animated series dropped a total of 77 episodes from the time it first aired in August 2014 to its season finale in January 2020. Waksberg revealed that the decision to end the show was from Netflix itself.
He told the streaming giant, via Saratoga Wire, he would appreciate it if he could get a forewarning if the series would be canceled so that he could give it a proper ending. Waksberg didn't want to put the show to a close with a cliffhanger that would never give it the justice it deserved.
So, when Netflix picked up BoJack Horseman Season 6, the network reminded him that it was the heads-up he was asking. Despite the end, he was grateful for the notice.
So, it was given the proper goodbye when it ended, although, just like fans, Waksberg didn't want to end it yet. Does it mean there is still a chance for BoJack Horseman Season 7?
The previous season saw BoJack had finally completed his rehab, per Looper. He then became a professor at Weslayan University, deal with all the fallouts of his life, made amends with all the important creatures, and everything in between.
His relationships with other people (or animals) also ended on a good note. This and everything that happened gave the perfect ending that fans needed to see.
Despite the fans' wishes for BoJack Horseman Season 7, it looks like it will never happen this time. Some see it as a good thing, knowing it will never take advantage of its warm welcome and continuous fans' support.
It is still much better to bid its final goodbye when it is still afloat and love by the many. With that said, it is really the end for BoJack and the rest of the cast.
