Customers flooded Apple forums and major social media platforms with complaints about Apple One billing issues after its 30-day free trial expired.

When Apple unveiled its Apple One service on September 16 during the "Time Flies" event, officials of the Cupertino-based tech giant said that they are giving a 30-day free trial for customers who have not subscribed to an individual service that came in bundled with an Apple One package. Customers welcomed the announcement as they would have the opportunity to see and experience that particular service first before actually buying an Apple One bundled package. Some of them, however, encountered billing and expiry date issues on November 30, which is the end of the 30-day free trial period.

Apple One launched on October 30, which means the trial period ended on November 30. Apple officials said that those who are already subscribed to a service bundled with an Apple One package can enjoy a 30-day free trial for services they are not subscribed to but are included in the bundle. For instance, you have an existing Apple TV+ subscription, which is included in the Individual Apple One bundle consisting of Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, and iCloud 50GB. For the three other services, you get a 30-day free trial since you already have an existing Apple TV+ subscription. At the end of the trial period, however, some customers encountered billing and expiry date issues. Many of them found that the entire Apple One bundle expired, including the particular service they are already subscribed to.  While some customers reported seeing their existing subscriptions marked as expired at the end of the Apple One 30-day free trial period, others received billing statements for individual services they are already subscribed to and which are supposedly bundled in an Apple One service. One customer, Chris Barnes, posted on Twitter that at the end of the Apple One 30-day free trial, he also encountered billing and expiry date issues. Barnes saw that his Apple TV+ subscription was renewed on top of his existing Apple One subscription, which is supposed to include the Apple TV+ service.

The complaints clearly showed some glitches are happening as Apple One shifts from a trial version into a standard subscription. So far, the common factor shared by complaining customers is they signed up for the Apple One 30-day free trial period when the service launched on October 30. This does not mean, however, that those who subscribed or signed up for an Apple One 30-day free trial period is exempted from also having billing and expiry date issues soon. If Apple does not correct the glitch, some say it is only a matter of time until customers who subscribed or signed up later may also experience the same issues.
