Attack on Titan Season 4 will be out in a couple of days, and the hype surrounding the show is now palpable. To make fans more excited, the series begins its seven-day countdown, starting with introducing new characters and an interview with the final season director Yuichiro Hayashi.

People behind the show celebrate the coming of Attack on Titan Season 4 by showing the production staff's illustrations that introduce new cast members. In a post on Twitter, Anime Shingeki shared a visual art that gave a glimpse of these latest characters that fans are about to meet.

Behind the known protagonists, there are a small group of heroes who look much younger than the main characters. They are relatively new faces, as no one has seen them in the previous seasons before.

In the earlier teaser images, it has been hinted that the final season will have a lot of new changes, CBR reported. Fans may even be surprised to see some of the major characters looking quite different.

In an in-depth interview with the final season's director Yuichiro Hayashi, via Comicbook, he talked about Attack on Titan Season 4's ending. Although he said nobody knew how the manga would end, they were able to reach "the climax of this great story."

Hayashi acknowledged it would be the end of the series, but they still had a long way to go before it officially came to a close. He even hoped that everyone would enjoy the anime until the end.

Hayashi seemed to show the anime team had no idea how the manga would end. Although it appeared to be a good indication that one might run longer than the other, it seemed to be quite impossible that the creator, Hajime Isayama, wouldn't give them an idea of how the franchise would conclude.

In a few days, Attack on Titan Season 4 will be finally out. Now, fans are preparing to watch the new season's premiere episode, depending on what platform is used.

In Japan, the final season's debut episode will drop Monday, December 7, at 12:10 a.m. on NHK-G. It will also be out on Funimation on the same day it is out in the said country, per HITC.

For Netflix users, Attack on Titan Season 4 will be released a few days late -- on Friday, December 11. However, Crunchyroll users have to wait a little longer as the network has yet to reveal when the final season will be out on its platform, labeling its arrival as "later this year."
