Zhongli is one of the most coveted new characters and he is now live in "Genshin Impact." Whenever a new banner drops in the game, players want to know if the featured character is worth spending Wishes and primogems. Here is everything players should know about the Zhongli banner.
Zhongli Banner In "Genshin Impact"
Zhongli's new story quest is now live in all regions, but the character, for some unknown reason, will not be available in the U.S. until 4 p.m. ET on Dec. 1. The odds of getting any 5-star character in a "Genshin Impact" banner is 0.6%, while the odds in a featured character banner like Zhongli is 50%.
Thanks to the new mercy system in "Genshin Impact," players are now guaranteed to pull Zhongli, although not immediately. With the new system, players who made 89 attempts without getting a 5-star character reward are guaranteed to get one on the 90th pull. In other words, there is a 50% chance that it is Zhongli.
If "Genshin Impact" players did not get Zhongli, the next 5-star character is guaranteed to be the character the player wants. Simply put, players will have to make 180 wishes at most to get the 5-star featured character in the Zhongli banner. Interestingly, those who participated in the previous event banner and were not able to get the featured character would receive their progress on the latest event banner.
Is Zhongli Worth The Wishes?
Based on the previews, Zhongli looks to be one of the greatest characters to ever arrive in "Genshin Impact." He clears the battlefield with ease, his attacks are quick and he deals massive damage to enemies. Zhongli could make the best lead for Geo-centric parties.
The new featured character in "Genshin Impact's" latest banner can summon a Geo construct that could create resonance with adjacent Geo characters. Zhongli can also create a shield that could protect nearby party mates. If players are not yet impressed, Zhongli's Elemental Burst allows him to summon a meteor every 12 seconds.
His meteor petrifies any enemies that get hit. Aside from Zhongli, the latest banner also features four-star characters like Chongyun and Razor.
