Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won's short-form drama will postpone its release after production delays caused by a COVID-19 scare on set.

According to a report by Soompi, Lovestruck in the City, which was previously known as City Couple's Way of Love, will air on December 22, instead of December 8.

A source from the production of the drama earlier indicated that one of the background actors tested positive for COVID-19, prompting cast members and staff to undergo testing. As a result, filming was temporarily halted, StraitsTimes reported.

It was later reported that filming resumed after all of the remaining cast and crew tested negative of the virus. However, some scheduling adjustments had to be made to ensure the quality of the drama's final output.

The production team announced their decision to put the safety of actors and staff first and sought understanding from fans who were anticipating the drama.

Lovestruck In the City is a short form drama that will depict the realistic challenges of young people who are struggling to survive in the big city. The series will be shown on KakaoTV and will feature the first time pairing of Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won.

For the first season of the drama entitled My Lovable Camera Thief, Ji Chang Wook will play the role of an architect who falls in love with a free-spirited young woman he meets one fateful night in the city. Kim Ji Won will portray the role of an average girl who assumes an alter ego because she fell in love with the architect.

The drama will also feature Kim Min Seok and So Ju Yeon who will star as a long-time couple. Ryu Kyung Soo and Han Ji Eun will also add to the mix and showcase life as singles in the city.

Despite the drama's delayed release Lovestruck in the City dropped the first teaser video featuring the different characters in the series. In the clip, Ji Chang Wook reminisces his encounter and mentions that he believes it was love. Kim Ji Won echoes the sentiment and talks about their unforgettable encounter.

Kim Min Seok's character insists that he and his girlfriend are in love with each other while So Ju Yeon seems hesitant to commit an answer.

Ryu Kyung Soo seems to be addressing an unknown person while Han Ji Eun bitterly declares that all men are the same.
