Nancy Drew season 2 won't be arriving until 2021 on The CW. The good news is that the trailer has been dropped, and it teases a lot of exciting stuff in the new chapter. There would be a deadly consequence in every action of the Drew Crew.

The trailer of Nancy Drew season 2 features a lot of horrifying moments, along with creepy creatures and more mysteries that needed to be uncovered. Fans will see the titular character (Kennedy MacMann) going on new adventures but facing more dangers ahead.

After having visions of their deaths, Nancy and her friends didn't pay the toll to the Aglaeca spirit. They believed that the latter's curse killed Owen (Miles Gaston Villanueva), but they found out that an ordinary human being killed him.

The Drew Crew needs to face the deadly consequences of their actions in Nancy Drew season 2. As seen in the clip, the Aglaeca is coming for them in a horrifying way. They have to find a way to escape their situation, but they recognized that beating the spirit would be difficult.

In season 1, the Drew Crew solved the mysteries behind Lucy Sable's (Stephanie Van Dyck) death. Her ghost haunted Nancy throughout the first installment. Later on, it was revealed that her biological father is Ryan Hudson (Riley Smith), which would be addressed in the new season.

While unraveling this mystery, the Drew Crew tried to solve the murder case of Owen. They assumed that the Agleaca was the one who killed him. However, it was his own uncle who actually murdered him. Now, Nancy and her friends must pay their debt to the spirit.

In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Noga Landau noted that there's a lot more to come about the Aglaeca curse in Nancy Drew season 2. All of them are in a dangerous situation and must deal with the consequences of not paying the toll.

Meanwhile, the early run of the latest installment will focus on the episodes that weren't aired in season 1. Like other television shows out there, the teen mystery drama wasn't able to deliver its intended finale. Thus, viewers will see a lot of exciting moments during its early run.

Nancy Drew season 2 premieres on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, on The CW.
