While it is true that "Among Us" is a simple game, players could not deny that it is very challenging to master. Players could use some tips and tricks to win in each game regardless if they are playing as one of the crewmates or impostors.

Know The Common Tasks

Every "Among Us" player are assigned common tasks on each map. Impostors could use these tasks to their advantage. By knowing these tasks, Impostors could do which tasks to fake to avoid drawing suspicions. For the Skeld map, common tasks include Swipe Card and Fix Wiring. For the Mira HQ map, common tasks include entering the ID code and fixing the wiring. Meanwhile, the Polus map's common tasks are scanning boarding passes, inserting keys and fixing the wiring.

Memorize Locations of the Cameras in "Among Us"

It is important to memorize the locations of the cameras on every map when playing as an Impostor in"Among Us." Knowing where the areas in the map that are not covered by cameras could help the Impostor execute his task. He can also use this to his advantage to reinforce his alibis.

Map Out Vents

Vents can be utilized for fast travel as well as an escape route. If the player is an Impostor, he must know the connection of every vent in every map in "Among Us." If the player is a Crewmate, information about the vent is crucial to shoot down another player's alibi if the player saw that he used the vent as an escape route after killing someone somewhere.

Always Check Rooms While Passing Through

Impostors will always attempt to kill Crewmates out of sight. "Among Us" players should make it a habit to check every room for bodies as they pass. Someone might have been killed while watching the cameras in Security and players would not know this unless they check.

The AFK Strategy

For Impostors, they can get an easy kill by pretending they are AFK (Away From Keyboard). The key is not moving when the match begins and waiting for everyone to leave. Impostors should stand still until someone passes by and kill whoever comes near.

After that, Impostors should return to their AFK position and wait for another player to report the kill. During the discussion, Impostors could pretend like they just came back or make up an alibi as to their whereabouts. However, many players are already familiar with this strategy and it does not work more than once.
