"Among Us" is a murder mystery puzzle kind of game that features one or two impostors who need to kill all the crewmates stuck in a spaceship to win. While the game is exciting, some players want to level up their gaming experience by creating mini-games or customized modes within "Among Us," one of which is called Murder, She Wrote. Players who want to try their hands in this mode could check out the format, settings, rules and other details about Murder, She Wrote.

How To Play Murder, She Wrote in "Among Us"

Murder, She Wrote, like all other custom mode and mini-games in "Among Us," is not to be played with random strangers on the Internet. This mode entails a high level of cooperation among participants, from individually setting up in-game settings to following house rules. This is an ideal mini-game for family and friends.

Murder, She Wrote In-Game Settings

"Among Us" players who want to play Murder, She Wrote, should set the Player Speed to 1.5x, Crewmate Vision to 1.0x and Impostor Vision to 1.0x. Kill Distance should be set to shirt, Kill Cooldown must be set to 30 seconds and Visual Tasks turned on. Other in-game settings required to play the mini-game include Common Tasks set to 2, Long Tasks set to 3 and Short Tasks set to 5.

Murder, She Wrote Rules

Everything in the base game "Among Us" is similar to playing the mini-game Murder, She Wrote except in discussions and meetings. When a player reports a dead body, the meeting would not be a discussion but would be in the form of interrogation. Each player is allowed to ask questions, however only the player who found the dead body is allowed to answer those questions.

What makes this interesting is that this kind of setup allows the impostor to blend in easily. This makes it more difficult for crewmates who hold crucial information to share it with the rest of the team. Also, it is much easier for the impostor to self-report since other participants only the kill through the information given by the reporting player.

The impostor could go further and spin the tale to deceive the group and throw all of them off. As part of the house rules, impostors are allowed to sabotage. This could make it more challenging for the player reporting the body to answer all the questions effectively.

Interestingly, crewmates are allowed to fix sabotages. Murder, She Wrote in "Among Us" ends when crewmates completed their tasks and ejected all the impostors or if the impostors have killed all the crewmates.
