BIGBANG leader G-Dragon suffered through many hardships while completing his military service, it was revealed recently.

According to a report by All Kpop, as one of the biggest Kpop celebrities in South Korea, G-Dragon struggled through a lot as he went through mandatory service, contrary to allegations of receiving special treatment.

Based on the report, G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Jiyong, had his privacy violated by his fellow soldiers multiple times over the course of his enlistment. One of the instances involved creating a book of notes about his physical attributes wherein details of his moles, freckles, tattoos, and scars were sent by soldiers to their girlfriends without Jiyong's knowledge.

The military hospital also leaked his medical records to the media without consent. As a result, his medical information was spread all over the press.

It was also reported that he was removed from Yangju Medical Center without informing him or seeking consent from his family, Naver reported.

During his enlistment, it can be recalled that the military was questioned for granting G-Dragon an excessive number of sick leaves even though they were valid. As a result, he had to go through some parts of his service while still suffering from injuries.

G-Dragon also had his personal belongings stolen and had his privacy invaded as he took his showers and had his meals. He was also photographed and filmed without his consent while performing his duties as a soldier.

After learning about the abuses that the BIGBANG leader suffered and called out his critics for enforcing such a double standard for the singer, some fans spoke up.

G-Dragon has mainly remained under the radar since his discharge in October 2019, focusing mainly on his fashion brand peaceminusone and his collaborations with brands like Nike for limited edition sneaker lines.

It was recently reported that G-Dragon was already gearing for a solo comeback but his label YG Entertainment has not yet released the details of his project. However, YG was able to confirm that the BIGBANG leader was already working on new music.

Meanwhile, based on projections by Hana Financial, BIGBANG will make an epic comeback next year to sustain YG Entertainment's momentum from this year's positive performance.

According to a report, the label is counting on its representative artists to draw in their loyal fandom to sell albums and tickets for their comeback as a four-member group.

It can be recalled that BIGBANG was supposed to make a comeback performance at this year's Coachella Festival, but the event got canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

BIGBANG's comeback is expected to sell at least a million concert tickets for a possible world tour and boost YG's operating profits to 60 billion KRW (approximately 54 million USD) in 2022.
