BTS has reminded everyone that the group is consists of seven members, and no one should be left behind. V appealed to that fans should love all of the members equally. “BTS is 7” — that’s what they always say.

However, BTS encountered an issue, forcing RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook to perform without Suga. The six members have been promoting their new era minus the “Daechwita” rapper, who is currently recovering from shoulder surgery and is undergoing physical therapy.

With a “BTS is 7” slogan, the boys made sure to still leave space for Suga during their performances and group hugs. They also didn’t assign one of the members to take the rapper’s part and let Suga’s backtrack do it for him.

On December 6, BTS performed three of their hit songs AT 2020 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards). Just like in their previous performances, Suga was absent since his shoulder is not yet fully healed.

Although ARMYs miss Suga, they understand the whole situation. The fandom wants nothing but for the BTS rapper’s condition to be better, even if it means that they will not see him for a while.

During BTS’s finale song, “Life Goes On,” they showed how the coronavirus pandemic affected everyone. Actors were frozen on the set, which is a metaphor for people not being able to do what they freely did before the health crisis happened. That concept alone already brought tears to viewers’ eyes.

Only the BTS members were moving around while reminiscing the life before the pandemic. When it reached Suga’s part, a virtual door suddenly opened, and the rapper came out of it. A hologram of Suga joined the members on stage, and now BTS is seven again.

The whole thing perfectly fits BTS’s new song, “Life Goes On,” as it showed that even though we face difficult circumstances, there is always a reason to move forward. Suga may not be with BTS physically during their performance, but that does not mean that he is no longer part of them.

ARMYs couldn’t help but cry after seeing the emotional moment. They were happy to see BTS as seven members again, which is something that the group has preached over and over again.

Meanwhile, BTS bagged eight awards at 2020 MAMA, including a Daeseng sweep: Best Music Video, Best Male Group, Best Dance Performance, Worldwide Fans' Choice, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year.
