One Piece Chapter 998 spoilers and raw scans are now circulating online and teasing its storyline's basic summary. Titled "Ancient Species," it hints at an epic battle, the revelation of Tobi Roppo's real powers, and more.
In the key points that BlockToro revealed, the new chapter would feature Marco using his skills to stop the virus's spread. They finally learn that the virus depends on the person's physical capacity, so they now know what to do about it.
Drake will finally defeat Apoo, who is badly wounded. There will also be a fight between Franky and Sasaki, a known user of the Triceratops Akuma no Mi.
Elsewhere, Yamato will see the statue of the beaten dragon and reveal a friend broke it. By the looks of it, she is pertaining to Ace. She also said that a "man came a few years ago to kill her father."
Fans will also witness a battle between Sanji and Black Maria and Jinbe and Who's Who. Black Maria is a known user of the Akuma mo Mi of the spider, old model Rosamygale grauvogeli, while Who's Who uses the Akuma mo Mi of the cat, the old model of the sabertooth.
In a post on Reddit, there will be an epic battle involving these characters. According to Inquisitr, Jinbe was last seen with his captain, Luffy, at the rooftop, where Kaido fought the Nine Red Scabbards.
However, in One Piece Chapter 998, Jinbe will get Who's Who's attention so that Luffy can move forward to Kaido's location. The new installment will also reveal the Tobi Roppo members' real power.
International Business Times noted the current Land of Wano Arc introduced the Tobi Roppo to One Piece fandom. Its name means "Flying Six Fellow," considered the "strongest among the Shinuchi."
The group's members are different and stand out from the rest of Kaido's crew. Composed of the renegade X Drake, Page One, Ulti, Sasaki, Black Maria, and Whos Who, they are under the All-Stars group, based on the Beast Pirates' hierarchy.
In the previous chapter, Kaido opened a slot for any Tobi Roppop members that could win the match he set to have a new All-Stars' rank. However, the game was canceled when the war began.
One Piece Chapter 998, "Ancient Species," is set to be out on Sunday, December 13, after a week of hiatus.
