It's no secret that fans are currently worried about Baby Yoda after everything that happened in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6. However, there is another reason why people should be concerned about Grogu. Interestingly, "Chapter 14: The Tragedy" revealed a strange connection between Baby Yoda and Star Wars villain Darth Vader and may have confirmed that The Child could eventually join the Dark Side of the Force.

In The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6, Baby Yoda was finally brought to the Jedi Temple on the planet Tython where he was given a chance to connect with the Force. To do so, Grogu sat down to meditate, and fans were treated to an adorable scene where The Child saw blue butterflies.

The scene with the butterflies was indeed a cute moment involving the already adorable Baby Yoda. However, Star Wars fans were quick to point out that it isn't quite as wholesome as it looks. After all, those butterflies have appeared elsewhere in the Star Wars Universe, and they have been connected to a dangerous villain.

In the comic book Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith #8 by Charles Soule, Darth Vader meditated as well and for some strange reason, blue butterflies appeared to surround him. The same butterflies would later appear with Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6.

But what could this possibly mean for Baby Yoda? It has been believed that the butterflies represented Darth Vader's internal conflict and they could signify the same thing for Grogu, who has struggled with sadness and anger for several years. On the other hand, some speculate that the butterflies were brought in in The Mandalorian Season 2 to represent The Force being present in the Jedi Temple.

So what are the chances that Baby Yoda could actually turn to the Dark Side in The Mandalorian Season 2? Although fans are hoping that Grogu will manage to deal with his anger, the final moment in "Chapter 14: The Tragedy" also suggested that he is using that anger against his enemies. The last scene in Episode 6 saw The Child Force-choking two Stormtroopers that have entered his cell and viciously throwing them across the room. Needless to say, this is a terrifying move that already has fans worried about Baby Yoda.

The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6 is currently streaming on Disney+. The next episode of the Star Wars series will premiere on December 11.
