It appears a WWE Legend will be returning to challenge Roman Reigns soon. Bill Goldberg is angling for a match with the reigning WWE Universal Champion after their Wrestlemania 36 showdown failed to materialize.

But aside from that, it appears the former WWE champion has a lot on his mind. The Hall of Famer has fired warning shots, telling the Big Dog that he is next on The Bump podcast. To view that, check out the embedded video below.

Goldberg claims that Reigns "backed out" on him. He also accused the Big Dog of stealing his signature move (Spear). Lastly, he took a swipe at the Universal champion, saying he was performing in a subpar manner.

From the way Goldberg was talking it appears that both are on a collision course. Reigns is currently in a storyline involving Kevin Owens though most know that this is a short-term feud. Jey Uso loomed as a likely next opponent but the WWE creative team may need more time to hype up Reigns’ cousin.

Goldberg and Reigns were to headline Wrestlemania 36 but the script was changed. Being a cancer survivor, Reigns opted to take some time off with the pandemic in the air. It also allowed him to attend to his pregnant wife.

With shots fired, there is no telling when this will happen. WWE TLC is happening on Dec. 20 and there is a chance that this may happen there. However, most know that Jey Uso is waiting in the wings and such complicates matters.

For the record, Uso has not been officially mentioned as someone who would be lined up for Reigns. He could end up feuding with Owens or someone else.

Aside from Goldberg, other names suggested to feud with Reigns next include Big E, Daniel Bryan and Drew McIntyre. A Wrestlemania 37 date against the Rock is also being suggested by Wrestle Talk.

With Reigns out, Goldberg ended up facing Braun Strowman for the WWE title. As expected, the “Monster Among Men” won over the 53-year-old wrestler. It was the last time Goldberg was seen in the WWE ring.

Considering Reigns’ heel character right now, a clash with Goldberg makes sense. However, it remains to be seen if a title-change would be happening once their match is booked.

If not WWE Elimination Chamber, there is also the WWE Royal Rumble happening in January. That could be the main event worth watching with the Royal Rumble winner possibly Reigns’ next opponent.
