Melania Trump will exit the White House in less than six weeks. After Joe Biden completes his inauguration ceremony, she and the rest of the First Family will move out and likely relocate to different states.

The Trumps have yet to confirm their plans for their post-Washington life. But, the talks about it remain apparent, especially these past few weeks.

Writing for CNN, White House correspondent Kate Bennett recently released a report covering the First Lady's possible moves when she leaves the East Wing. Several sources had various assertions about the matter, including Melania's alleged curiosity over funds for the next chapter of her life.

Insiders revealed that Melania Trump "wants to go home." She has now started to plan her life outside the White House and has since filled her time with preparations.

Then, the unnamed sources said that the First Lady directed Marcia Lee Kelly, a special government employee, to "discreetly" ask the West Wing about the funds. She is, reportedly, curious whether there were funds for former First Ladies.

Bennett clarified in her piece that there is none. Only former U.S. Presidents have "perks," which include limited budgets for official office and staff, as well as for some travel expenses.

Following the claims, several publications seemingly implied that Melania Trump was "requesting" for taxpayer's money to fund the next chapter of her life. This, then, led some outlets to conclude that it is a huge "hint" that a divorce will happen between the outgoing First Couple.

SheKnows reported that the "staggering request" has since sparked the question of why the First Lady is likely making "separate financial arrangements."However,  It argued that there is little information about the matter that will suggest Melania is "picturing a future" without her husband by her side.

While Melania Trump may have, indeed, told Kelly to ask the West Wing about the funds, she did not "request" to have one. Nevertheless, Kate Bennett said that this did not "deter" the First Lady from her preparations for her exit.

Apart from focusing on her "legacy," sources shared that she is considering releasing a book, as what her predecessors Obama and Bush did.

Insiders clarified, though, that it might not be a "memoir." Instead, Melania is, reportedly, "toying" with the idea of releasing a "photo-centric coffee table book" centering on White House's "hospitality history."

Melania Trump has yet to confirm whether the assertions are true. Alongside the East Wing, she has not released any official statement yet regarding her plans after her stint inside the White House.
