Power Book II: Ghost episode 7 is arriving this weekend on Starz. The Power spin-off returned recently after more than a month of hiatus. The story continues to follow Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) finding ways to survive his new life while trying to figure out how to get his mother out of prison.
The promo of Power Book II: Ghost episode 7 shows that the trial of Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughton) begins. She doesn't want Tariq to come, and instead, she asked her son to make sure that Davis Maclean (Method Man) gets paid.
The clip featured the FBI and Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) bringing evidence against Tasha, but the latter appears calm despite what's happening around her. She is more concerned about getting money to pay her lawyer. She gets into a heated argument with Tariq and asked him not to show up in the court.
Tariq tries to find ways to get more money, yet he may need to do some illegal work in order to do that. He can be heard saying, "there's a lot of action going on," suggesting that he'll be facing a lot of troubles and problems so he could keep paying Davis.
Meanwhile, Davis and Saxe are seemingly planning their move to bring Tariq down in Power Book II: Ghost episode 7. They two have a common goal: getting Tariq in jail and prove that he killed his own father, Ghost St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick).
Davis and Saxe have an "ideal witness" to support their claim that Tariq was responsible for the murder. It remains to be seen as to who this person could be. But, he or she might be a character from the flagship show who's also interested in bringing the St. Patrick family down.
However, even though the two are getting closer to doing their plan in Power Book II: Ghost episode 7, Davis might be facing danger along the way. In a recent interview with Vulture, Method Man discussed what's coming for his character.
The actor said that Davis is "going to turn the screw," and will adjust it over and over again. He's taking chances he shouldn't take in the first place. His actions come with a lot of consequences, and it's going to "crash his face," as well as ruining his reputation to his clients.
Power Book II: Ghost episode 7 airs on Sunday, Dec. 13, on Starz.
