WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the first part of Power Book II: Ghost. Read at your own risk.

Power Book II: Ghost is officially returning on Starz before the year ends. The Power spin-off series is currently on a midseason break, but the good thing is that fans will be seeing new episodes starting next month. The story will continue to follow Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.).

Recently, Starz unveiled the promo of Power Book II: Ghost where it sees Tariq still feeling the pressure of everything that's happening around him. The scheming lawyer Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) is the biggest threat here, as he'll do whatever he can to take Tariq's down.

The midseason finale left a massive cliffhanger and questioned Tariq's fate moving forward. Now, the midseason premiere will see Saxe and Davis Maclean (Method Man) teaming up in order to reveal the truth about Ghost's (Omari Hardwick) death, Tariq's father.

Ghost died in the flagship show, and his wife Tasha (Naturi Naughton) -- Tariq's mother -- took the fall. She did this to protect her son, who pulled the trigger and killed his father. Saxe and Davis are now planning to reveal the truth so they could put Tariq in jail.

The two come up with a plan in order to put Ghost's son behind bars. As seen in the trailer of Power Book II: Ghost, Saxe is determined to bring Tariq down once and for all. His drunken confession in the midseason finale may have a dire consequence moving forward.

Aside from teaming up with Davis, Saxe is also working with his niece, Riley (Andrea Lee Christensen). They managed to get Tariq drunk, which leads to him spilling his secret. Saxe was able to record his confession and this could be used as crucial evidence to put him in prison.

However, the video was obtained illegally so it remains to be seen whether Saxe will present this in the court, risking his career in the process. Yet, it's clear that he's going to do everything to see not just Tariq but the entire St. Patrick going down.

Meanwhile, fans shouldn't be worried about the future of the series since it has been renewed for a second installment. In addition, two more spin-offs are underway, Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force. The third book, reportedly, started production.

Power Book II: Ghost is returning on Sunday, Dec. 6, on Starz.
