Boruto Chapter 53 will reveal the result of Isshiki and Boruto's fight and who between Naruto and Sasuke will meet his demise. There will be a flash-forward scene, which seems to give a hint at the future timeline.
A lot is about to happen in Boruto Chapter 53. Kawaki has the karma seal, while Boruto sustains a scar on his eye. He will later activate the Jougan in the future, suggesting there will be sequences that will lead back to the scenes in the first chapter.
According to BlockToro, Boruto may rouse Momoshiki so that he can turn into Boroshiki and face Isshiki. Although he almost defeated the villain using his new powerful form, it brought Kawaki into the fold.
EconoTimes noted that using Naruto's chakra, which also powers Kawaki's prosthetic hand, Isshiki manages to bring Kawaki to another dimension where the fight is taking place. This only means that Isshiki is inching closer to putting the karma seal back, making his life longer to plant the Divine Tree.
Boruto knows that Isshiki is about to die any minute, and Momoshiki can keep him busy, knowing they both come from the Otsutsuki clan. However, their plan may not work out and may even backfire if Momoshiki finds a host and plant his karma seal on either Kawaki or Boruto.
Although Isshiki only has a little amount of time to leave, he can do so many things. So, it is not far that he also will try to put the karma seal on Kawaki.
The karma seals are the backup copies of the Otsutsuki clan members. They can take over the person's body using the seal as the vessel for one's consciousness. Hence, there may be a fight between Momoshiki and Isshiki to control Kawaki's karma seal in Boruto Chapter 53.
Looking back at the flash-forward scene, Kawaki is seen with the karma seal again. This only confirms that Momoshiki manages to do what he wants, as Kawaki and Boruto were caught in a fight in the first chapter. Now, it is up to Isshiki on when and how he will place this karma seal back to his "perfect vessel."
Boruto Chapter 53 will drop on Sunday, December 20, at midnight, Japan Standard Time, per HITC. Its English translations will be then out at a later time in different parts of the world. The international audience will see the new chapter at 9 a.m. Pacific Time, 11 a.m. Central Time, noon Eastern Time, and 5 p.m. British Time.
