One Piece Chapter 999 will drop some flashbacks involving Ace. Also known as Fire Fist, he has a significant impact on the manga's storyline, though he is rarely seen. In addition, fans may even see some backstory of Kaido, along with the history of Wano, BlockToro noted.
In the previous chapter, Yamato saw a broken dragon statue and revealed a man arrive in Wano before to kill his father. Ace's silhouette was next seen, suggesting that he was the one who almost killed Kaido in the past.
Ace already tried to end Whitebeard's life, but Edward Newgate stopped him. Instead, the latter made Ace join his side and looked after him as his own son.
So, in his return, fans may see a fight between Ace and Kaido. It is also possible that a romantic relationship may brew between him and Yamato.
Chapter 998 began with a floating island of Onigashima, Omnitos cited. Hyogoro and his allies protected Marco, while the latter used his flame as a temporary remedy to the virus to help Chopper produce more antidotes.
Elsewhere, Marco offered to lift Zorro and other Straw Hat Pirates to climb the building to the top. Apoo suddenly emerged, but X Drake managed to handle him.
