The Curse of Oak Island season 8 has been following the Lagina brothers, Rick and Marty, searching for the Money Pit in the mysterious island. The team has unearthed several clues that could lead them to the path towards the speculated treasure.

At the moment, the Knight Templar Theory is the major focus in The Curse of Oak Island season 8. The Laginas and the team have been looking for more evidence about this theory in the past, and now they're making further investigation to locate the Money Pit.

In season 7, the fellowship was informed by the historians that the geometric figures found in the panting of Nicolas Poussin could be a significant clue in finding the speculated treasure. Apparently, these figures were similar to a treasure map.

Now, Erin Shelton supported the Knight Templar Theory by bringing in new evidence. The said perfect line, in particular, might be leading them to the path towards the Money Pit. It starts from Jerusalem, passing through Versailles, and ending in Oak Island.

The Laginas and the team suspected that the Knights Templar buried Solomon's treasure, which consisted of the Menorah, on the mysterious island. Then, Erin presented Zena Halpern's map and theorized that boulders were used as "anchors," pointing them to the "original" Money Pit.

While Marty doubted this, he still believes in Erin's work. The team began digging the area, where they uncovered rock with markings. Alex Lagina tried to figure out whether the markings were natural or man-made. Also, they found a lock that seemed to belong to a cabinet.

Beyond the Knight Templar Theory, the fellowship has made significant discoveries in the early run of The Curse of Oak Island season 8. For instance, Gary Drayton found an old coin with a hole at the center, which could be a Chinese possession.

Drayton estimated the coin to be dated either in the 1600s or 1700s -- older than the discovery of the Money Pit. He noted that it is "old-old" and belonged to somewhere "more exotic." Aside from this, the team found "heavy industrial activities" occurred on the island.

They saw ox foot in the area where the Money Pit could be, suggesting that oxen may have been used to transport heavy materials. They investigated more about it in the early run, along with the gold coin, but it wasn't entirely addressed as the focus shifted on the Knight Templar Theory.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 is airing its new episodes every Tuesday on History Channel.
