Brothers Rick and Marty Lagina continue searching for the Money Pitt in The Curse of Oak Island season 8 despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. The two and their team are finally out of quarantine and now preparing to unearth the speculated treasure on the mysterious island.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 is bringing interesting discoveries each episode airing every week. The team found traces of gold on the island, as well as potential industrial activities. Their recent findings proved to be significant as it could reveal what other secrets the place holds.

The biggest highlight in the third episode was when the team found ox foot near the location of the Money Pit. Blacksmith Carmel Leggae theorized that these were British, which leads to another theory on whether or not the oxen were used to transport heavy materials into the treasure pit.

The oxen foot further hinted at the strong industrial activities occurring on the island many years ago. Gray Drayton and Jack Begley believe they need to find out more about this as it could potentially lead them to "track between the paved wharf and LOT 15" and the swamp's mysterious anomaly.

The recent discovery of the oxen trail becomes another focus in The Curse of Oak Island season 8. This finding could answer some of the questions surrounding the island, as well as the key to unearthing the Money Pitt. And while doing this, the major excavation plan for the swamp continues.

Even though the latest season has just kicked off, the team could make several discoveries already. It has been believed that there were French and Spanish activities on the island between the 1600s and 1700s, but Drayton's finding of an old coin hinted at the presence of Chinese in the area.

It added another question, including whether the old coin belonged to Chinese laborers who worked from the British or the Chinese were the ones who buried the speculated Money Pitt. These discoveries lead the team in getting answers and raising new questions at the same time.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 is airing every Tuesday, with episode 4 coming on Dec. 1, on History. No further details were revealed about it, but it will continue to follow the Laginas and the team searching for more clues and evidence about the mysterious island.
