Rick Lagina and Marty Lagina will continue their search for the Money Pit in The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 3. The brothers, along with their team, are out of quarantine and ready to dig more. Their recent discovery suggests they're getting closer to uncovering the speculated treasure.

The title of The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 3 in "If the Ox Shoes Fit." The team will investigate the origin of the old coin discovered by metal detector expert Gary Drayton in the premiere. It is believed that the object might belong to the Chinese.

Drayton speculated that the old coin is older than the discovery of the Money Pit in 1975, and estimated it to be dated between the 1600s or 1700s. He also noted that it is "old-old" because of the square hole placed in the center of the item.

Furthermore, Drayton thinks that the old coin belongs to somewhere much more exotic. The Laginas, on the other hand, examines the item and believe it could be from Chinese origins. With this recent discovery, the team steps up their game in The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 3.

After attempting to unearth the Money Pitt in season 7, everyone is back with new strategies and more modern technologies. The swamp is the major focus in the latest installment, with the fellowship trying to investigate why the bog was artificially modified more than 800 years ago.

Rick, Marty, and the team previously used cans to locate the Money Pit. However, they only reached a certain depth. This time, they will proceed with the project "Big Dig." In the premiere, Tyler Newton almost discovered gold underwater but it slipped through his fingers and fell further.

In episode 2, the team investigates if the tunnels from the swamp Smith's Cove and Lot will lead them to the Money Pit. Also, they found evidence of tar kiln, which seemingly suggests that significant industry occurred on the island -- even before the discovery of the speculated treasure.

Now, the focus of the team shifts to the old coin. The preview of The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 3 sees Rick and Marty examining the possible origin of the coin. If it is, indeed, belongs to the Chinese, it will be a huge discovery for all of them.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 episode 3 will be airing on Tuesday, Nov. 24, on History.
