The hunt for the valuable "Money Pitt" continues in the upcoming The Curse of Oak Island season 8. Despite the pandemic, the Lagina brothers, Rick and Marty, will continue to uncover the 225-year-old mystery surrounding Oak Island, in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8, reportedly, began filming in June. This news comes from the local residents of the island, with some claiming they've seen some crews going in and out of the community. Furthermore, big trucks and heavy equipment were seen within the vicinity.

The road towards the swamp is being widened to prevent it from potential damages by bigger and heavier trucks. The swamp will be the major focus and a lot of works are needed to be done. Some residents noted that the crew is bigger this year compared to what they've seen in the past.

The swamp would be the busiest area in The Curse of Oak Island season 8 as the team could only work on this part in the fall. Reportedly, the environmental regulations only allow the crew to work here for a certain period of time before moving into another location.

Aside from the heavy equipment, a truck carrying a cofferdam was said to be spotted which will possibly be used for the swamp. It can be recalled that the team found a ship-shaped anomaly at the bottom of it, so they must drain some parts of the area in order to find it.

This piece of evidence prompted everyone to step up their game in The Curse of Oak Island season 8. In fact, two pontoon boats were seen on October 28, while a drone is hovering over the vicinity. It looks seems like they're trying to locate the swamp's bet as boats were anchored, as well.

In addition to Rick and Mary, Gary Drayton is also coming back to unearth the Money Pit, which is believed to be in a Chappel Vault. The metal detectorist will be given a bigger and better metal detector to look for the tunnels leading to the valuable items.

In season 7, the team used can but it wasn't enough to unearth the Money Pit. They decided to use modern technologies this time around, with their project called "Big Dig." They'll be digging farther than 50 feet deep down to recover the speculated buried treasures.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 will be arriving on Tuesday, Nov. 10, on History.
